Volunteer

Volunteers engage with families and individuals who experience a variety of challenges and crises which can result in food, employment, housing and relationship instability. Our volunteers offer a listen-to-understand, participant-centered approach to all they do. Volunteers are a critical component to successfully advancing our mission at CityHope of New Hampshire.

Volunteer Opportunities…

Food Pantry Volunteer

Join us the first and third Saturday of the month – we need help serving individuals and families. You can take orders, deliver food, stock our pantry and help with many other projects.

Drop-In Hours Volunteer

Drop-in hours are held on Thursdays from 1-3 pm. During this time participants may be able to receive the following help: secure identification, secure background checks for employment or housing, obtain local bus passes, obtain items from our toiletry closet, receive emergency pantry items, schedule an appointment to request additional help or coaching and find a place to rest and have coffee and conversation.

Advocacy Coach Volunteer

Our advocacy coaching program is designed to provide relational assistance to those in need. We connect individuals and families to area resources, help to brainstorm solutions and provide various kinds of material support on a case-by-case basis. Advanced and on-going training is required for this position. Human service experience preferred.

CityHope is a place where I can connect with others and “meet them where they’re at”; to discover their needs and offer practical help and transformational hope. I feel that it is an honor and a privilege to work with people in this way and I genuinely enjoy walking with them on their journey to wellness.

Jackie Berridge

Serving at CityHope Pantry brings joy to our hearts. We love to help and if you like to help people this is a perfect opportunity for you or even your family to invest time in someone else’s life. If you enjoy talking and being with people, and having fun, this is the place to be! It’s a fun-filled day with a little work sprinkled in.
Scot and Teresa Palmer

I’ve had such a great experience volunteering at CityHope. I enjoy working with the amazing people and I am also learning valuable skills that will help me with my degree at college. I have been able to gain skills at an administrative level as well as hands on work in the food pantry. It is a wonderful feeling to know that I am helping the community.
